My son-in-law is from China. He is one male human, same as I am. Just a different generation gap where he became a dad and I became a grandpa. Your point again was what? An intellectual distraction.

I asked, "Have you had the occasion to travel to China, Nostradamus' omh?" In response, he wrote, in part: "Does it matter? ... Your point again was what?"

Of course, it doesn't matter. With tools such as books and the internet, one can gain a well-rounded understanding of the world without leaving home. However, seeing a different country opens one's mind to new possibilities and helps one see one's own country with fresh eyes. It is said that traveling abroad helps Americans to notice the things they once took for granted, which is often the case. But traveling to China can and very often does cause Americans to see what they don't have, for, in many respects, compared to China, the U.S. is a Third World country. Travel to China frequently causes typically inward-looking Americans to question and sometimes snap out of their insularity and displaced arrogance. The United States is in no way the greatest country on Earth, and spending time in China can bring that reality home.

Be well
Good day
